Being an asthma attack can be quite a frightening ordeal. Most do or don’t know what to do. In most cases having a head on shoulder and following a plan of what to do when you’re having an attack should help you in not making the situation worse. Also having others be aware of what to do when you are an attack will also help.
If you know you are having an asthma attack the best thing to do is stay as calm as you can. Take your medication most common an inhaler. Make sure your clothes are loosed up and not constricting you, which can make you feel constricted. Do not lie down during an attack but be sitting up. If the inhaler is not working the next step is to call the emergency number of your location. Or if some one is with you have them do it and also have them contact your doctor. Knowing what to do in situations like these can have a positive outcome. And also better prepare you incase you end up having another attack.
